Learning for Life Virtual Alumnae Panel Presented by the Alumnae Association Council - Reinvent yourself and reimagine your career! Recent workplace trends have shown that now-more-than-ever, individuals are looking outside of their industry or sector for roles, as companies look beyond industry experience to functional experience. Join our panel of alumnae as they share their insights and personal experience of "trailblazing" across industries. Whether you are seeking a more meaningful change or have been affected by career disruption, this discussion will ignite your passion and help to guide your resiliency and courage to take that first step! The panel will feature Katie Fouts Geffken '99 (a marketing strategist and local business owner turned realtor), Taylor Tamang '15 (Strategic HR Partner at Experience Management Institute) and Erin Wolf '75 (a nationally recognized speaker, executive coach and consultant in leadership development, diversity, organizational change and strategy). A calendar invite with a Zoom link will be sent to all registrants prior to this event.

Classmates and guests of the Class of 1994 are invited to gather at The BottleHouse starting at 7pm following the Brown and Gold reception at HB. There is no charge to attend. Guests will be responsible for their own food/bar tab. Please register so that we have an accurate headcount. We look forward to celebrating with our class! Join classmates for a night of fun at Lauren Van Wagenen Harlow's house. Spouses/partners are welcome. Casual dinner and drinks will be served. $20 each or $30 per couple. The event will be held at 2668 Wrenford Road, Shaker Heights, OH 44122.

Join the Class of 1984 from HB, University School and Laurel for a Beach Bonfire Party. Please come as you are. Guests are welcome to attend. Beer, wine and snacks will be provided, as well as early 80s music. The event will take place at 15646 Priorway Drive in Novelty, outside by the lake. Balloons with school colors will be at the end of the road. Look for lake 3/10 of a mile down the road on the left. Parking signs will be placed throughout the neighborhood. Cash donations to offset the cost of the event are appreciated. There will be a donation jar at the party for goodwill donations.

Journeys Through HB: A Multi-Generational Conversation on Inclusion, Sisterhood and Belonging - Please join us for a panel of Black Alumnae on their experiences at HB and beyond. This conversation will be hosted by the HB Sista Circle's Black Affinity Group. All HB community members are welcome. Coffee and light breakfast options will be served.

Michael Ciuni, Director and Chair of the Fellowships in Global Citizenship, will lead a discussion with students pursuing the Fellowship. They will present on the international spring and summer programs and provide an overview of the Fellowship.

Did you know that in December HB was awarded LEED Gold certification for our building operations and maintenance from the United States Green Building Council? Join Torrey McMillan '90, Director of the Fellowships in Sustainability, to hear about HB's initiatives to advance sustainability on our campus, in our community, and in the curriculum. The session will end with a walking tour of campus to see indoor and outdoor sustainability projects.

Head of School, Dr. Fran Bisselle, will share an update on HB today and present the Distinguished Alumnae Awards and the Alumnae Achievement Award. The Philanthropy Awards will also be presented.

Class photos will be taken in the Atrium before and after lunch. Classes celebrating their 50th-80th reunions will take their photos at 12:30PM, prior to lunch. Classes celebrating their 5th-45th reunions will take their photos at 1:30PM, after lunch. Volunteers will be on hand to direct everyone to their designated area.

Catch up with your classmates while enjoying a lunch buffet featuring a selection of favorite dishes, including HB's apple crisp.

Gather with friends from University School, Laurel and Hawken at Hawken's Upper School campus in Stirn Hall (12465 County Line Road, Chesterland). Complimentary valet parking will be available. $25/person until May 10th, $30/person thereafter.

The Class of 1989 party starts at 6pm on Saturday May 18, 2024. The theme is Mid-life Kisses, and we will be focusing on what self-care looks like during this stage in our lives. Many of us are becoming empty-nesters, and need to reevaluate/reassess how we are doing life, and what we are doing exactly. Let's always make time for self-care.
